TMLA Objectives

Founded in 1980, the Texas Mineral Land Association is a statewide
organization of land professionals who represent the surface mining land
industry in Texas.  The organization continues to be dynamic, promoting a
working business relationship among its members, representing various
surface mining land groups located throughout the state of Texas.  TMLA
also provides the opportunity for these groups to maintain an open line of
communication concerning the mining lands of Texas.

The TMLA brings together the management of various surface mining
companies to discuss the business and legal developments surrounding the
industry.  Members of TMLA collectively represent the  industry to the public
landowners throughout the state, by promoting the understanding of mineral
exploration and development and the acquisition of the lands required by
the industry.

TMLA is an affiliate of the American Association of Professional Landmen.
